Good foot health is essential to well-being. Nothing worse than foot pain spoils a good time.
Surprisingly, the feet are often rough and neglected.
Yet these members must bear all our weight all day long and deserve special attention. Here are 7 tips to relieve and rest your little feet!
1. Proper footwear
This advice may seem logical, but many people do not apply it. However, bad shoes can cause many foot and back problems, including plantar fasciitis.
So start by looking at your shoes, and keep the heels, sharp, tight, and thin-soled shoes for occasions when you don’t have to walk a lot.
If you go to work on foot, opt for quality sneakers and carry your shoes in your bag.
If the soles of your shoes are very thin, consider adding a sole inside for better cushioning.
Finally, choose shoes that allow your feet to breathe, for example with an aeration system. Watch out for waterproof hiking shoes, not recommended in warm climates!
2. Hot Baths
Even with good shoes, it is normal to have tired feet after a long day, especially if you work standing. A simple hot water bath can relieve you, for example in a basin.
Add Epson salt, rose petals, a few drops of mint essential oil, sage or two tablets of aspirin.
You can also keep the rice cooking water and add three spoons of yeast or baking soda, for a highly effective foot bath!
Unlike other parts of the body, it is relatively easy to massage your feet.
You can use moisturizing creams based on mint or honey for enhanced relief. If your feet are very dry, vaseline is also very effective.
No special technique is required, but circular movements are recommended. After the massage, let the cream penetrate and place your feet high, for example on a pouf.
4. Massage Socks
The massages are great, but you probably don’t have time to do many a day!
The good news is that you can massage your feet continuously without even touching them. Magical, right? Simply acquire a pair of gel massage socks.
Thanks to medical silicone, your heels will be comfortable and hydrated all day long. And the icing on the cake, these socks also help prevent plantar fasciitis and back pain!
